Most of the Gran Turismo Sport updates have brought lots of good stuff. However, the past few have been very minor. However, all that changes today with the release of patch 1.23. This update brings a ton of new content and features, and with it comes a rather large (3.5GB) download size.
Custom Racing Suits
Gran Turismo Sport is the first Gran Turismo game to feature the ability to customize your cars looks. Previous games you could change the colour and rims, but that was basically it. It was a much welcomed feature and I have seen a lot of creative designs come out of it so far. However, this new update takes things one step further by allowing you to customize your racing suit. Yes, that means you can have a custom livery car and a match racing suit/helmet.

You will also be able to put both your player and you car into Scapes and take a photo together. You can pose your driver virtually any way you want for the perfect shot, too.
New Cars
Everyone loves brand new cars, and today brings some good ones. It has everything from race cars, to normal cars, to super expensive cars, and even a freaking F1 car!
- Mercedes-AMG F1 W08 EQ Power+ ’17
- Ferrari 250 GTO CN.3729GT ’62
- Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car
- Daihatsu Copen Active Top ’02
- Honda S660 ’15
- Honda Beat ’91
- Mazda 787B ’91
Only seven new cars, but a good assortment. The best part is not only is there a new F1 car, but it is F1 champion, Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes. Tough to get cooler than that. I am also very happy they added the Ferrari 250 GTO. Not only is that one of the most expensive cars on the planet, but it also looks beautiful.
New Track
The newly added track is called Circuit de Sainte-Croix, and it is set in France. This track is not a real life track, but one that they have made exclusively for the game. They have made three different layouts of it, too. However, there are also reverse variations of all the layouts as well bringing the total to six different new track layouts. It seems pretty cool as there is a giant bridge you can drive on that goes over a very beautiful lake. This place would be perfect for some nice GT Sport photography of your favourite car.
GT League Events
Three new GT League Events have also been included in this update. A Lightweight K Cup challenge in Beginner League, Nostalgic Car Festival in the Amateur League, and Mercedes AMG Grand Prix in the Professional League. Not surprisingly, the last event only features the newly added Mercedes F1 car.
This is a pretty major update that has added a ton of new features to GT Sport. However, out of all of the new items given, which are you the most excited for? Is it the new track, a certain car, custom suits, etc? Share your answers in the comments below!
